This letter refers to a technical meeting conducted at your request in the NRC Region II Office on March 28, 1984.
This meeting related to proposed modifications to the Physical Security Program at the Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant and was attended by members of the Region II Safeguards Staff and by Mr.
R.
- Rogers, C. Cantrell, and J.
Shipwash of your Licensing and Nuclear Staffs.
The subjects discussed at this meeting were possible reclassification of guard duties which would require revision to the Training and gualification Plan and the Security
- Plan, and, proposed changes to the frequency of security retraining for nonsecurity personnel granted unescorted access to the Browns Ferry facility.
It is our opinion that this meeting was beneficial and has provided for a better understanding of your proposed changes in accordance with Section 2.790 of 'NRC's "Rules of Practice,"
Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations.
A copy of this letter will be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room.
