REQUEST FOR RENEWAL OF SENIOR OPERATOR LICENSE This letter is in response to your request of March 30, 1983, for renewal of the Senior Reactor Operator License, SOP-2938-2, for Mr. Gary T. McChristian, Docket No. 55-4911.
In accordance with 10 CFR 55.33(b),
Mr. McChristian's application was not filed in a timely manner and he had not completed the required requalification program during the existing term of his license.
Also, he has been absent from the Browns Ferry Plant since February 15, 1982.
Therefore, his license is expired.
We recognize the acute shortage of Senior Reactor Operator License holders at Browns Ferry and suggest that Mr. McChristian reapply for a license.
We will consider request for waiver of examination based on Mr. McChristian's licensed experience and on the commitments made in your March 30, letter.
If examinations are required, we request they be coordinated with our scheduled examination visit during the week of June 27, 1983.
