What are the known technical or regulatory issues with the current version of the Regulatory Guide (RG)?
RG 8.37, Revision 0, was issued in July 1993 to provide an acceptable program for establishing and maintaining ALARA levels for gaseous and liquid effluents at materials facilities in order to comply with 10 CFR Part 20, "Standards for Protection Against Radiation."
No technical or regulatory issues were identified as a result of this review. The guidance remains applicable as written since the ALARA levels for effluents from materials facilities in the current guide are adequate in terms of radiation safety and protection, as required by 10 CFR Part 20.

Since there were no issues identified, there is no impact on licensing and inspection activities.
