arent Cause of Occurrence:

Recirculation pump MG set 2A tripped when generator stator temp. high relay actuated.

Anal sis of Occurrence:

There was no damage to plant equipment.

There was no activity release, no personnel exposure or injury and no danger to health or safety of public.

Corrective Action

Electrical tests were run on the relay and RTD.

The generator stator winding temp.

annunciation was changed to a spare RTD and the previously used RTD was monitored after the MG set was returned to service.

No problems were found and the charts show no high temp.

readings at time of trip.

A spurious signal is suspected to have caused the relay ac&ation.
