Thank you for your letter of July 1, 1986, and the accompanying resolution adopted by the Board of Commissioners of the Town .of Benson on June 26, 1986. I very much appreciate your forwarding this document to me. It will be taken into account in further and considerations given to the licensing of the Shearon Harris Plant the importance of that plant to the citizens of your region of the State.

I am taking the liberty of sending a copy of this correspondence to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and to Carolina Power and Light Company for their information'nd consideration.
