QUARTERLY DATA REPORT SHNPP SEISMIC MONITORING PROGRAM OCTOBER 1, 1983 DECEMBER 31, 1983 Carolina Power 5 Light Company (CPAL) has completed another quarter of operation of its seismic monitoring program at the Shearon Harris. Nuclear Power Plant site near New Hill, North Carolina.
During this period a total of 127 cultural events wer e recorded with an S-P of less than five seconds.
No local earthquakes were detected.
Of these 127 events, 96 were confirmed as being explosions by responsible companies or agencies.
The remaining 31 events displayed the signature and arrival pattern typical of previously identified cultural events and none occurred at night or'n a weekend or holiday.
