3 Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation SHEARON HARRIS SER INPUT In your memorandum dated October 27, 1983, you stated that the Emergency Pre-paredness Branch (EPB) woUld provide an input for the Shearon Harris SER by November 30, 1983.
The purpose of this memorandum is to express the urgency associated
>arith this issue and to inform you that the area of emergency pre-paredness is presently an admitted contention in the Shearon Harris hearings.
Therefore, it is essential that we address this issue in the SER.
Since NRR is scheduled to issue the final document by November 30, 1983, >>e will require your input no later than November 15, 1983. It should be noted that formal inputs were due September 1, 1983.and that a date later than November 15, 1983 is unacceptable.
