In accordance with your request I enclose a letter from Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company confirming that Bank's agreement with the Power Authority to make loans to the Authority for the purpose of paying retrospective insurance premiums.

Gentlemen:
This will confirm that we have entered into an agreement as of August 1, 1977 with the Power Authority of the State of New York whereby we agree to make loans to the Authority from time to time during the period from the date of this agreement to axe:including Ilarch 31, 1978 in aggregate amounts not to exceed
$ 10 million.
The agreement further provides that the proceeds of any loan obtained under the agreement shall be used by the Authority solely to pay retrospective insurance premiums which may become due in the event of a nuclear incident under the Nuclear Incident Indemnification Plan established pursuant to the Federal Price-Anderson -Act.
