OF MEETING HELD ON AUGUST 25, 1983 TO DISCUSS THE METEOROLOGICAL AND EFFLUENTS TREATMENT BRANCH (METB) OPEN ITEMS f
A meeting was held on August 25, 1983 at the Nutec offices in Bethesda, Maryland with representatives from Carolina Power and Light (CPSL), Ebasco, and the NRC staff.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the METB open items described in the draft safety evaluation report.
Of the 20 issued discussed three required clarification and no additional information need be submitted to close the items.
Nine additional items will be closed with either new or modified responses to the staff's concerns.
The remaining eight issues were not closed and required additional information from the applicant.
For the twelve items that were closed at the meeting, the applicant stated that the necessary information would be received by August 31, 1983; however, the information was not submitted until September 23, 1983.
Enclosure 1 is a detailed listing of the issues covered at the meeting and enclosure 2-is a list of the attendees present at the meeting.
