SUBJECT:

SUGARY OF ftEETING CONCERNING ftEB AND PSB REVIEW ISSUES A meeting was IheTd;,with. the-applicant on August 16, 1983 in Bethesda, Maryland.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss (1)

MEB staff questions regarding the review of design documents for Shearon Harris components;,and (2) open PSB issues in the draft SER for Shearon Harris.

Enclosures 1 and 2 provide the list of attendees for the HEB and PSB portions of the meeting, respectively.

The meeting is summarized as follows.

~Summar As a result of the ftEB staff's review of Shearon Harris, design documents for pumps, valves. piping and piping supports, a-number of questions had been raised.

The questions were discussed with the applicant at the meeting and CP5L was informed that the questions would be formally sent to them for a reply.

During the meeting, the applicant discussed how it proposed to respond to the. questions.

For a 'n'umber of the proposed responses, the staff indicated that additional information would be required to fully address the concern.

The applicant agreed to provide additional information with the~formal responses.

For the PSB porftion of the meeting, the staff indicated that need for additional information on draft SER Item 106 (dealing with the emergency lighting system),
