QUARTERLY DATA REPORT SHNPP SEISMIC MONITORING PROGRAM JULY 1 1981 SEPTEMBER 30 1981 Carolina Power 6 Light Company (CPGL) has completed another quarter of operation of its seismic monitoring program at the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant site near New Hill, North Carolina.
During this period a total of 91 cultural events were recorded with an S-P of less than 5 seconds.
No local earthquakes were detected.
Of these 91 events, 68 were confirmed as being explosions by responsible companies or agencies.
The remaining 23 events displayed the signature and arrival pattern typical of previously identified cultural events and none occurred at night or on a weekend or holiday.
