In accordance with the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 10, Section 50.90 and Section 2.101, Carolina Power
& Light Company (CP&L) hereby requests revisions to the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant (SHNPP)
Units 1, 2, 3, and 4 Construction Permits CPPR-158, CPPR-159 CPPR-160, and CPPR-161.
Attached please find CP&L's application to amend the SHNPP Construction Permits to reflect the inclusion of North Carolina Municipal Power Agency Number 3 (Power Agency) as a co-owner of the facilities.
In accordance with 10 CFR t'ttt 50.33 and 50.33a, this application contains the applicable information necessary to determine financial qualification and to conduct the appropriate antitrust reviews.
Also attached please find a suggested replacement Paragraph 1.B to amend the SHNPP Construction Permits to reflect Power Agency as a co-owner of the facilities.
In addition, Power Agency is becoming a co-owner of CP&L's Brunswick Steam Electric Plant Unit Nos.
1 and 2, Docket Nos.
50-325 and 50-324.
An application to amend the Brunswick Operating Licenses is being filed concur-rently with this application (Serial No.:
NO-81-1413).
Additionally, due to their volume, Exhibits A through H which are referenced in the attached appli-cation are being submitted under separate cover (Serial No.:
N0-81-1414).
We have determined that the requested change to the SHNPP Construction Permits constitutes one Class XX amendment and-three Class I amendments in accordance with 10 CFR tt 170-22.
Accordingly, our check for
$ 2,400.00 is enclosed.

ATTAVKENT SHNPP CP AMENDMENT The following is a suggested replacement paragraph to amend the SHNPP Construction Permits CPPR-158, CPPR-159, CPPR-160, and CPPR-161 to reflect North Carolina Municipal Power Agency Number 3 as a co-owner of the facilities:

proposed design of the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant, Unit No.
1 (the facility), including, but not limited to, 2
the principal architectural and engineering criteria for the design and have identified the major features or components incorporated therein for the protection of the health and safety of the public; 1lI"Applicant" as used through the rest of this Construction Permit shall mean both Carolina Power
& Light Company and North Carolina Municipal Power Agency Number 3.
