QUARTERLY DATA REPORT SHNPP SEISMIC MONITORING PROGRAM JANUARY 1 1981-MARCH 31 1981 Carolina Power 6 Light Company has completed another quarter of operation of its seismic monitoring program at the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant site near New Hill, North Carolina.

During this period a total of 87 cultural events were recorded with an S-P of less than 5 seconds.

No local earthquakes were detected.

Of these 87 events, 79 were confirmed as being explosions by responsible companies or agencies.

The remaining 8 events displayed the signature and arrival pattern typical of previously identified cultural events and none occurred at night or on a weekend or holiday.
