QUARTERLY DATA REPORT SHNPP SEISMIC MONITORING PROGRAM JULY 1 1980 Se tember 30 1980 Carolina Power 6 Light Company has completed another quarter of operation of its seismic monitoring program. at the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant site near New Hill, North Carolina.
Duirng this period a total of 109 cultural events were recorded with an S-P of less than 5 seconds.
No local earthquakes were detected.
Of these 109 events, 94 were confirmed as being explosions by responsible companies or agencies.
The remaining 15 events displayed the signature and arrival pattern typical of previously identified cultural events and none occurred at night or on a weekend or holiday.
