QUARTERLY DATA REPORT SHNPP SEISMIC MONITORING PROGRAM APRIL 1.,'1980 JUNE 30 1980 Carolina Power 6 Light Company has completed another quarter, of operation of its seismic monitoring program at the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant site near New Hill, North Carolina.
During this period a total of 156 cultural events were recorded with an S-P of less than 5 seconds.
No local earthquakes were detected.
Of these 156 events, 142 were confirmed as being explosions by the responsible companies or agencies.
The remaining 14 events displayed the signature and arrival pattern of previously identified cultural events.
and all of them occurred during daylight hours.
Only one of these events was recorded on a weekend 'or holiday:
