FIGURE 3 KEY TO PLAN GEOLOGIC MAP CORE TRENCH STATION 2+90 TO 3+90 SCALE 1 INCH ~ 5 FEET A.. Fault AOriented N34E 75SE, Terminates within core trench B.

Fault B En echelon set of 4 fractures with an average strike of NBOE C.

Fault C 1.

Fault A terminates 2.

Granitic dikelet.

3.

1.0 inch of right lateral offset of granitic dikelet.

4.

3.0 inches of right lateral offset of granitic dikelet.

5.

3.8 inches of right lateral offset of granitic dikelet.

6.

1.0 inch of right lateral offset of granitic dikelet.

7.

6.0 inches of right lateral offset of granitic dikelet (along Fault A).

8.

3.0 inches of right lateral offset of.epidote filled fracture (along Fault A).

9.

Epidote filled fracture 1 to 3 inches wide. Reaches maximum width between Sta 3+20 and 3+30.

10.

Epidote filled fracture 0.5 to 2.0 inches wide. Epidote fillingdiscontinuous along fracture.

11.

Quartz-feldspar vein.

12.

Quartz. feldspar pod.

13.

Granitic dikelet.

14.

Granitic dikelet terminates or cannot be traced due to degree of weathering in this area.

15.

Magnetite flow or dike 2 to 3 inches wide. Intrudes along two parallel NE trending fractures.

16.

Pods of "granitic" material texturally and compositionally similar to granitic gneiss.

17.

Zone of highly fractured rock 2 to 8 inches wide. No displacement of other fractures which cross the zone observed.

Zone can be traced across the core trench and onto the NW wall where it appears to be related to axial plane fracturing.

18.

Quartz feldspar vein completely crosscuts granitic dikelet.

19.

Fracture terminates.

20.

Granitic dikelet.

21.

Epidote filled fracture 3 to 5 inches wide.

22.

Epidote filled fracture bifurcates (no epidote along either fracture).

23.

Epidote filled fracture thins into fracture with no mineralization.

24.

Epidote filled fracture offset 9 inches by Fault C.

25.

Thin (1 to 2 inches wide) epidote filled fracture which thins to a fracture with no mineralization.

26.

Epidote filled fracture offset 4 inches by Fault C. Some drag observed (right lateral) along trace of the fault.

27.

Fault C cannot be traced beyond this point.

28.

Southeast end of a quartz. feldspar vein.

29.

Closely spaced set of joints that crosscut Fault C with no offset.

30.

Closely spaced set of joints oriented N40E,40SE.

31.

Fault A terminates.

32.

Closely spaced set of joints.

33.

Fault C bifurcates and becomes a single fracture where it offsets epidote filled fracture (No. 25).
