As a result of mapping in the core trench on the downstream site a fault 4'as identified in core trench floor.'at,stations'+90 to 3+00.

This fault has been designated as Fault A-2.

In addition a fault that had initially been thought to be an extension of previously discovered Fault C (Fault C

was reported in Memo from S. Miner to 0. Parr dated November 21, 1970) was found to be a separate faul't.

This fault has been designated as Fault A-3.

,Based on,.the'i.r i,nvestigatiow,to date the, qppli, cant.concludes that both these faults are non capable within the. meaning of Appendix A to, 10 CFR-100.

Based on the information presented on this and the other faults in the dam area=we agree with the applicant that these faults are probably non capable.

A staff geologist will visit the site ta investigate the faults.
