Dear Mr. Scaroia:
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) with assistance from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) willconduct an inspection of the auxiliary reservoir dam at the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant on July 28, 1999. This inspection date was coordinated with Mr. Johnny Eads of your staff. The purposes of this routine inspection are to confirm that
, the dam conforms with design documents, that it is capable of safely performing its design functions, and that th'e hazard classification is appropriate.
Mr. Daniel Rom of the NRC's Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards, and Mr. Robert Bryant of FERC willconduct the inspection.
