Thank you for your letter of March 18, 1999, in which you provided a copy of the resolution recently adopted by Lee County, North Carolina, regarding the proposed expansion of waste storage facilities at the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant.
have forwarded a copy of the resolution to Mr. Richard J. Laufer, Project Manager, Shearon Harris Facility, Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (NRR), at our Headquarters
- Offices, located in Rockville, MD. NRR has the licensing responsibility, and is currently assessing the license amendment which.would allow for the use of the.other two existing spent fuel pools at the Shearon Harris facility.
