Dear Sir or Madam:
On December 16, 1997, Carolina Power &Light Company (CP&L)requested a License Amendment to revise the Harris Nuclear Plant (HNP) Technical Specifications (TS) 3/4.7.1 related to "AuxiliaryFeedwater System Surveillance Requirements."
As a result of a recently issued License Amendment, CP&L is submitting a retyped TS page which supersedes a page included in the December 16, 1997 submittal.
On Apical 14, 1998, the NRC issued Amendment No. 77 to the HNP TS, which incorporated changes regarding "Deletion of Shutdown Requirement from Selected Surveillances."
Issuance of Amendment No. 77 independently affected TS page 3/4 7-5 from the December 16, 1997 request, which is currently under NRC review. Enclosure 1 contains the retyped TS page 3/4 7-5, which incorporates the changes resulting from the issuance ofAmendment No. 77.
