REISSUANCE OF TECHNICALSPECIFICATION PAGES FOR AMENDMENT77 TO SHEARON HARRIS UNIT 1

Dear Mr. Robinson:

By letter dated May 13, 1998, Carolina Power 8 Light (CP&L) requested that certain Technical Specifications (TS) pages for Amendment 77 be reissued.

Specifically, CP&L requested that TS page 3/4 7-11 be reissued to reflect changes made in Amendment 76, and page B3/4 0-2a to reflect changes made as result of Amendment 77. Failure to reflect these changes in Amendment 77 was the result of an administrative oversight and does not affect the staff's approval of the amendment.

By letter dated March 18, 1998, the staff issued Amendment 76 to the Shearon Harris operating license.

This amendment revised Surveillance Requirement 4.7.3, which is located on page 3/4 7-11.

By letter dated April 14, 1998, the staff issued Amendment 77, which also revised Surveillance Requirement 4.7.3. The TS pages associated with Amendrrfent 77 did not include the changes in Amendment'76 because Amendment 77 was issued prior to implementation of Amendment 76.

As a result of an NRC staff request for additional information, CP8L submitted, by letter dated April 13, 1998, a revision to TS Bases section 4.0.2.

Due to an administrative oversight, page B3/4 0-2a was not issued with Amendment 77.

Enclosed are TS pages 3/4 7-11 and B3/4 0-2a which accurately reflect all changes associated with Amendments 76 and 77.
