NPF-63 REQUEST FOR LICENSE AMENDMENT PLANT NUCLEAR SAFETY COMMITTEE COMPOSITION - SUPPLEMENT Gentlemen:
In accordance with the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 10, Parts 50.90 and 2.101, Carolina Power & Light Company (CP&L) hereby supplements a
request to revise the Technical Specifications (TS) for the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant.
On October 22, 1993, CP&Lsubmitted a Technical Specification Change Request that would revise the manner in which PNSC member composition is specified.
Based on subsequent discussions with the NRC staff, CP&L is herein amending the change request to include specified limits on the number of PNSC members (see revised Insert 1).
Revised marked-up and retyped pages are enclosed with this letter.
The significant hazards consideration and environmental consideration discussions provided with the original submittal on October 22, 1993 are unaffected by the enclosed revision.
