RESPONSE
TO REQUEST FOR ADDITIONALINFORMATION REGARDING THE SHNPP OFFSITE DOSE CALCULATION MANUAL Gentlemen:
Carolina Power 6 Light Company (CP&L) is in receipt: of your November 25, 1992 request for additional information regarding the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant (SHNPP) Offsite Dose Calculation Manual (ODCM).
Your letter requested that CP&L respond within 90 days of receipt of the request and CP&L is proceeding with preparation of our response.
On January 29,
- 1993, we discussed with the NRC Project Manager a request to extend the submittal schedule for our response by 60 days.
This correspondence serves as confirmation of that discussion and documents the schedule extension agreed to by the Project Manager.
The extension request is the result of other immediate demands on our resources, such as our implementation of the new 10 CFR 20 Rule and preparation of the Semiannual Effluent Release Report.
- However, the information 'requested in your November 25, 1992 request is not likely to warrant any immediate changes to the ODCM.
Therefore, there should be no adverse impact associated with a schedule extension.
