SHEARON HARRIS EXAMINATIONREPORT NO. 50-400/OL-91-1 On January 22-25,
- 1991, the NRC -administered examinations to employees of your company who had applied for licenses to operate your Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant.
At the conclusion of the examination, the examination questions and preliminary findings were discussed with those members of your staff identified in the Examination Report, Enclosure 1.
Copies of the written examination questions and answer key are included in this report as Enclosure 2.
Facility comments regarding the written examination are included in this report as Enclosure 3.
Enclosure 4 provides the NRC response and resolution to the facility comments.
Enclosure 5
summarizes simulator performance deficiencies observed during the conduct of the simulator portion of the operating examinations.
We are particularly concerned with your failure to provide adequate reference material.
This failure contributed to major rewriting of the examination.
Details are provided in the report.
We request that you
- respond, in writing, to this office detailing the corrective actions that are planned to correct these reference material and simulator efficiency concerns.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a
copy of this letter and the enclosures will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
