PLAN is of cri ical importance to the public health and safety, particu-lar y to residents who would be affected by the evacuatiori provisions of tliat Plan.
On Hay 27,
- 1986, the Cliatharn Courity Commissioriers responded to the concerns of thousarids of concerned citizeris, who had ques ione the adequacy of tliat Plan's evacuatiori provisions, by witlidrawing Cliatham County's approval of the previous Plan.
As a result of promises to improve tire Plan made by Caroli>>a Power an Light Company and tlie North Caroliria Department of: Crinie Coritrol and Public Safety, tire Cliatliarn County Commi sioriers today agreed to rejoin tlie effort to arrive at a satisfactor and adequate Plan.
