Thank you for coming to Raleigh to help us local officials better understand the regulatory process for nuclear plants.
I recall your commenting that the difference in a
nuclear plant being of average or stellar quality is the involvement of local'fficials.
I also recall your mentioning that one state has its,own nuclear regulatory agency.
I want the Shearon Harris plant in Wake County to be of stellar quality and would like to know more about the state nuclear regulatory agency.
How is it struc-
- tured, and what are the goals and objectives?
If you have any written information on thi;s, I would appreciate your having a copy mailed to me; if not, I would like to know who I might contact.
