NOTICE OF DEVIATION Carolina Power and Light Company Shearon Harris Unit 1 Docket No. 50-400 License No.
CPPR-158 The following deviation was identified during a Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) inspection conducted on May 12-16, 1986.
FSAR Section 1.8 commits to performing preoperational testing of the diesel generators in full compliance with Regulatory Guide 1. 108.
- FSAR, paragraph 14.2.12. 1. 16.d.5 further specifically states that diesel generator performance will be evaluated per the eight criteria listed in Section c.2.c of Regulatory Guide 1.108.
Contrary to the above, test procedure 1-5095-P-01, Revision 2, 1A-SA Diesel Generator Performance Pre-op which was in progress during the inspection, failed to incorporate criteria 7 and 8 of Regulatory Guide 1.108, Section co2 ~ e~
Please provide in writing within 30 days of the date of this Notice a description of corrective actions regarding this deviation, actions taken to avoid further deviations, and the dates when these actions were or will be completed.
