to the Nuclear Regulatory
Commission
(NRC) inspection
conducted

H. L. Whitener
on April 30 - May 4,
May 14-18,
1990.
The inspection
included
a
review of activities
authorized
for your Turkey Point facility.
At the
conclusion of the inspection,
the findings were discussed
with those
members of
your staff identified in the enclosed
Inspection Report.
Areas
examined
during the inspection
are identified in the report.
Within .
these
areas,
the inspection
consisted
of selective
examinations
of procedures
and
representative
records,
interviews with personnel,
and
observation
of
activities in progress.
Your attention
is invited to the
unresolved
item regarding
the ability to
install
an external
recombiner.
This matter will be pursued
during
future inspection.
The enclosed
Inspection
Report also
documents
plans for future actions
(see
paragraph
4.a)
stated
by
a licensee
representative
and discussed
in the exit
interview.
If your understanding
of these
planned
actions differs from the
report statements,
please
inform this office promptly.
