This will acknowledge receipt of your letter dated March 3, 1989 and check for
$100,000 in payment for the civ'i 1 penalty proposed by the NRC on February 1,
1989.
.The corrective actions described in the attachment to your letter have
'been reviewed and appear to be adequate if aggressively and fully implemented.
Considering the history of violations in the area of security at the Turkey Point facility, we emphasize here as we did in the letter transmitting the Notice of Violation and Proposed Imposition of Civil Penalty that Florida Power and Light Company must take the actions necessary to assure that this pattern of security violations is terminated and assure that the security of the Turkey Point facility can be maintained.
Your corrective actions will be examined during future inspections to determine whether any further enforcement action is necessary.
