Re:
Turkey Point Unit 3 and 4
Docket Nos.
50-250 and 50-251 Turke Point Performance Enhancement Pro ram PEP This letter provides the status of the Turkey Point Performance Enhancement Program (PEP).
The status, as discussed at, the recent NRC/FPL management meeting at Turkey Point on January 12, 1989, is as follows:
1 ~
The comprehensive Quality Assurance (QA) closeout audit of PEP has been completed.
- However, two of the nine findings remain open.
These findings, six shift vs. five shift operation and drawing
- update, are currently scheduled to be closed out by October 1990 and June 1,
1989, respectively.
The drawing update finding will be closed by loading all backlogged drawing updates into the Drawing Change Tracking System as part of the long term Drawing Update Program discussed in FPL letter L-88-521 dated December 9,
1988.
2 ~
The remaining PEP tasks are included in the Turkey Point Integrated Schedule. (IS).
Modifications resulting from the select system reviews will also be scheduled and reported in the IS.
A working meeting with NRC Region II staff to review details of the QA PEP closeout audit and the PEP effectiveness assessment will be scheduled in the near future.
