. interested in onitoring the repair process and perhaps becoming more involved" in the recent reactor coolant system (RCS) leak at the Turkey Point Plant, Unit 4.
You further requested that you be p'1aced on the service list to receive all correspondence and documents regarding the RCS leak, including NRC inspection reports.
As I have indicated in previous correspondence to you dated October 12, 1983, the NRC policy relating to service lists is to include the regulated utility, legal firms representing the utility, specific state and local officials, and parties or petitioners for leave to intervene on NRC actions relating to the specific utility.
Since you are currently involved in litigation before the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board in matters relating to the Turkey Point Plant, you are currently on our service list for all docketed correspondence and material that is sent from the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (NRR) to the licensee pertaining to the Turkey Point Plant, Units 3 and 4, Docket Numbers 50-250 and 50-251, respectively.
I would like to note that our policy only requires that we provide information'elative to the specific issue being litigated to parties or petitioners for leave to intervene.
We have chosen, at our discretion, to provide to you all docketed correspondence and material to ensure we do not inadvertently exclude pertinent information and to minimize the resources that would be necessary to screen all docketed material.
In a recent conversation, I indicated that I would provide you all the docketed correspondence that I receive relative to the RCS leak in addition to any correspondence issued by NRR on an expedited basis.
I have requested that I receive any inspection reports or licensee submittals relative to the RCS leak on an expedited basis and I will forward a copy to you as soon as I receive them.
