Dear Mr. Williams:

Reference:

TAC Numbers 56434 and 56435

SUBJECT:

SCHEDULING OF EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS EXERCISES By letter dated October 22,

1984, Mr. M. Bishop (Dade Co.) to D. Eisenhut (NRC), Mr. Bishop expressed concern relating to the emergency preparedness exercises for the Turkey Point Plant being scheduled annually in November.

You indicated in your letter of November 28, 1984, that FPL would resolve the schedular conflict and inform the NRC staff of a final resolution which is agreeable to all parties.

By "L-85-184, Forwards Discussion of Dropped Control Rod Transient Analysis in Support of 850215 Application to Amend Licenses DPR-31 & [[site license" contains a listed "[" character as part of the property label and has therefore been classified as invalid.,changing Tech Specs to Revise Moderator Temp Coefficient|letter dated May 8, 1985]], you have indicated that the State of Florida, Dade County and FPL have agreed to hold the Turkey Point exercises in January instead of November.

In addition, the NRC Region II staff has been contacted and agree with the revised schedule.

Since all parties agree and the schedular change is within the guidance provided in IE Information Notice 82-44, "Clarification of Emergency Plan Exercise Requirements" no further action is required.

This completes our actions related to the referenced TAC Numbers.

Sincerely,

/s/DGMcDonald CC:
