Re: Turkey Point Units 3 and 4
Docket Nos.
50-250 and 50-251 Generic Letter 83-28, Item 4.3 Florida Power
& Light has reviewed the NRC letter dated December 3, 1984, which provided the Safety Evaluation for FPL's proposed design modification for the automatic activation of the shunt trip attachment for the reactor trip breakers.
Based on the current schedule for issuance of the qualification test report, we would expect to complete our review of the test report and provide confirmation of the seismic design by June 1, 1985.
The proposed Technical Specifications will also be submitted at that time.
We are not aware of any problems that would prevent implementing this design modification during the upcoming refueling outage for Unit 3.
