REQUEST FOR PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR TURKEY POINT UNITS 3 AND 4 OPERATOINAL LIMITS In connection with our review of your proposed request for amendments to the Turkey Point Unit 3 and 4 Technical Specifications dated August 19, 1983 and September 9, 1983, it appears that the reduction in peak cladding temperature (PCT) resulting from use of the BART Code as part of the ECCS model is fairly small (less than 160')
compared to the results of the same calculation'sing the previously,,approved ECCS model..
However, this result has not been reviewed by comparing the results provided in your above referenced submittal with comparable computations using the previously approved model.
We understand that such a calculation may already be available from Westinghouse.
We request that you provide the results as soon as possible to allow us to complete our review of your proposed amendment request.
