CHANGE TO CONFIRMATION OF ACTION LETTER TURKEY POINT, UNITS 3 AND 4 The purpose of this letter is to confirm our understanding of a change in the actions you will take to assure qualifications of reactor operators at Turkey Point Nuclear Plant.
Your staff agreed to'ake certain actions during a
meeting with NRC management in Atlanta on March 29,
- 1989, to correct deficiencies identified during operator requalification examinations administered by Region II in March 1989.
The Confirmation of Action Letter dated March 30,
- 1989, described commit-ment 5 as follows:

Present a long-term corrective action plan in a meeting to be conducted in the Regional Office by May 1, 1989.
This corrective action plan should address the remedial training for those individuals who failed requalifi-cation examinations, as well as outline the steps to be taken to develop a satisfactory requalification program.
In a discussion on April 25,
- 1989, with R,
V. Crlenjak of my staff and D.
Chancy of your staff, FPL proposed to change the May 1, 1989 date specified in item 5.
Based on this conversation, we concurred in confirming the meeting date to be May 15, 1989.
