Turkey Points Units 3 and 4
Docket Nos.
50-250 and 50-251 Request for Extension to Corrective Action Ins ection Re ort 87-25 and 87-29 EA 87-98 CORRECTIVE ACTION:
A permanent vehicle entrapment area will be constructed at the south security gate.
CORRECTIVE STATUS:
Design for entrapment was issued mid-December with material procurement currently underway.
Critical path appears to be the delivery of selected material (i.e., the motorized gates) which are required to complete construction.
INTERIM ACTIONS:
As stated in our response to this finding, Item 4A committed to providing a temporary isolation area for vehicle searches outside the south security gate.
This area will remain in place until the completion of the permanent entrapment as committed previously.
Additionally, modifications have been made in the vehicle traffic flow paths in the area of the south security gate which have reduced the vehicle and personnel congestion previously experienced in this area.
