Clarification

The Licensee

wanted to

know what was

meant

by the word

imprudent"

with regard to the boric acid corrosion

problem.

Region II was not

making

an

economic

prudence

determination;

that is

not

NRC's

regulatory function.

The

synonym "not wise" would be the context

for the use of the word "imprudent."
