'AY 26 l98p Mr. Hark P. Oncavage, President Floridians United for Safe Energy, Inc.

12200 S.M. 110th Avenue Miami, Florida 33176

Dear Mr. Oncavage:

Distribution:

Docket File NRC PDR Local oDR MGrotenhuis CParrish SAVarga This is in response to your letter dated Hay 2, 1982 regarding the power failure on April 29, 1982 in which you requested a copy of the Licensee Event Report which discusses the incident.

Due to the type of incident there was no Licensee Event Report required by the Technical Specifications.

Florida Power and Light Co. did provide certain information at my request which I used to prepare a Daily Highlight and a briefing for Mr. Denton.

There was also a preliminary notification issued by Region II.

Copies of these documents are enclosed.

There is no followup action resulting from the briefing of Mr. Denton.

All safety systems operated properly, i.e. the diesels started and Unit 3 went on natural circulation with no problem.

I trust that you will find this responsive to your request.

Sincerely,

Enclosures:
