Turkey Point Units 3

8 4 Docket Nos. 50-250 and 50-251 Hot Channel Factor Normalized 0 crating Envelo e

SAFETY EVALUATION Following flux mapping at Turkey Point Unit 3 a discrepancy was noted in Figure 3.2-3, Hot Channel Factor Normalized Operating Envelope.

The discrepancy was in the conservative direction, and while it, posed no safety

concern, the curve restricted power output of the unit.

The proposed Technical Specification amendment substitutes the existing curve with that in the WCAP prepared for Cycle 8, our current cycle (WCAP's 10024 and 10056).

This substitution has been discussed and agreed upon between Westinghouse and the NRC Staff.
