Dear Sir/Mdm.:
On Aug.20, 1979 I wrote you a letter asking you to put me on the list to speak at the Public Hearing reguarding the leaks at TURKEY POINT NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS located at Turkey Point, Florida about 25 miles south of Miami, Fla.
All I ever received was a card confirming that you have'received my letter
& have never heard from you since.
I understood there was going to be a Public Hearing on JAN.8, 1980 but I did not hear of any meeting taking place,
& have not received any notification of any postponement.
What is the present status of the HEARING? I am an inventor/ research scientist
& would like to speak at the hearing reguarding the leaks at Turkey Point which have been going on a few years after'the 2
Nuclear Plants were buil,t in 1972
& 1973.
I definitely want to be part of any Public Hearing as I am highly concerned in this matter. of radioactive leaks which have continued over many past years.
Also, please put me on your mailing list to receive all. technical literature &'reports reguarding the leaks which FLORIDA POWER & LIGHT COMPANY has filed with the NRC reguarding the leaks in the past
& up to the present status of the leaks today
& information of how that company plans to repair the leaks
& how much the cost will be for the repairs.
After the repairs are done, wi11 this guarantee that the corrosion problems in the HEAT-EXCHANGER TUBES willnot occur again?
Exactly how much excess radiation leaked into the atmosphere from the primary fluid leaking into the secondary loop which also has leaked through to the cooling canals through corrosion in the condenser leaks?
