RII:JPO 50-250, 50-251 IE Bulletin 79-24 Me have reviewed the subject Bulletin for applicability to Turkey Point Units 3 and 4, and have determined that the geographical location of the site obviates the need for special protection against prolonged sub-freezing temperatures.

The climate at the site is subtropical with long warm summers and short mild winters.

A review of FSAR Section 2.6 (Meteor'ology) indicates that, in the vicinity of the plant, the average daily minimum temperature during the winter months ranges from approximately 57'F to 60'F.

Please call if you have further questions regarding freeze protection at the Turkey Point site.
