P.O. BOX 529100, (VIIAMI,FL 33152 FLORIOA POWER IIL LIGHT COMPANY April 13, 1979 Mr. Edson G. Case, Deputy Director Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, D. C.

Dear Mr. Case:
RE:
Turkey Point Units 3 and 4
Docket Nos.
50-250 and 50-251 As we informed you at our meeting today, this will confirm that at our request Westinghouse has reviewed its files concerning the piping analyses it had performed for Turkey Point Units 3 and 4 and has conducted a reanalysis of the reactor coolant loop.
The results of Westinghouse's review and reanalysis are contained in the enclosed letter from Mr. T.
M. Anderson to you of April 12, 1979.
With the reanalysis of the reactor coolant loop, all analyses of piping systems at Turkey Point Units 3 and 4 performed by Westinghouse have utilized the absolute summation technique for intramodal responses.
The results of the reanalysis of the reactor coolant loop were essentially the same as those reported in the Turkey Point Units 3 and 4 Final Safety Analysis Report, and are therefore acceptable.
Very truly yours, Robert E. Uhrig Vice President REU:jb Enclosure REGULATORY DOCKET P]LE COPY cc:
