50-250 8 50-251 Containment Pur in We have recei ved your letter of November 28, 1978.
Our engineering review is in progress but we have not yet determined which option to pursue with respect to containment purging during operation.
We are proceeding with the determination and will inform you of our progress by February 1,
1978.
We have also reviewed the design of safety actuation signal ci rcuits that incorporate a manual override feature.
The review confirmed that existing physical features adequately facilitate administrati ve control.
Override actuations are annunciated at the system level, and overriding one safety actuation signal does not also cause the bypass of any other safety actuation signal.
Override conditions are monitored in the Control Room, the switches are desi gned to prevent accidental actuation, and automatic resets are used whenever possible to remove overrides.
