Dear Mr. Dolan:
By letters dated March 30, 1984, April 10, 1985, and December 31, 1986, the Indiana and I'Iichigan Electric Company submitted information on, among other
- things, Item 2. 1 (Part 2) of Generic Letter 83-28.
This Gen'eric Letter dated July 9, 1983 listed the required actions by licensees based on the generic implications of the Salem ATWS events.
Item,2. 1 (Part 2) requires a confir-mation that an interface has been established with the NSSS or with the vendors of each of the components of the reactor trip system.
lte find the program by IMEC meets the requirements of Item 2. 1 (Part 2) and is therefore acceptable.
Our Safety Evaluation and our contractors Technical Evaluation Report for Unit 1 and 2 are enclosed.
By our letter dated March 27,
- 1987, we found Item 2. 1 (Part 1) acceptable, therefore, this completes our review for Item 2. 1 of Generic Letter 83-28 for the Donald C.
Cook Nuclear Plant.
