1996 Page 1 of 2 MONTHLY OPERATING ACTIVITIES DECEMBER 1995 HIGHLIGHTS The unit entered this reporting period in Mode 1 at 75% RTP.

A Reactor power decrease commenced December 7,

1995 at 1900 to facilitate Main Transformer linkage bus bolt repairs.

The Reactor was manually tripped December 7,

1995 at 2235 due to Main Turbine vibrations experienced during power descent.

The unit was taken critical December 9,

1995 at 0156 and the Main Turbine Generator was paralleled to the grid December 10, 1995 at 2311.

A Reactor power decrease commenced December 13, 1995 at 1352 to facilitate Main Transformer repairs.

The Main Turbine Generator was removed from service December 14, 1995 at 1243 and paralleled back to the grid following repairs December 17, 1995 at 2051.

The unit exited this reporting period in Mode 1 at 100%

RTP.

There were no challenges to the pressurizer safety valves or power operated relief valves.

Gross electrical generation for the month of December was 535600 MWH.

DETAILS 12-06-95 1435 Commenced Reactor power decrease due to Main Transformer bus duct bolt high temperatures.

1535 Reactor power at 71% RTP.

12-07-95 1900 Commenced Reactor power decrease to facilitate Main Transformer repairs.

2235 Reactor manually tripped due to Main Turbine vibrations.

Reactor critical.
