THE BIT HAD BEEN DRAINED DURING THE REFUELI G

AGE AND REFILLED WITH 2000 PPM BORATED WATER, THEN RECIRCULATED THROUGH THE BAST WITH 3

4 THE TRANSFER PUMP ON LOW SPEED.

RECIRCULATION FLOW THROUGH THE BIT FROM THE BORIC ACID STORAGE TANK WAS INCREASED BY PLACING THE TRANSFER PUMP IN fAST SPEED.

SUPPLEMENT TO LER 80-017/03L-0 SUPPLEMENT TO CAUSE DESCRIPTION GAL. BATCH OF 25000 PPM CONCENTRATION WAS ADDED TO THE BAST AND RECIRCULATED THROUGH THE BIT.

THE BIT CONCENTRATION WAS 20044 AFTER 3.3 HOURS.

THE PRO-CEDURE FOR PLACING THE BIT IN SERVICE HAS BEEN CHANGED TO REQUIRE RECIRCULA-TION AT HIGH SPEED AFTER REFILLING THE TANK.
