Cook Unit 1 G.J. Costello (616) 465-5901 July 3, 1992 1 of 1 MONTHLY OPERATING ACTIVITIES JUNE 1992 HIGHLIGHTS The unit entered the reporting period at 60% RTP continuing with the end of core life power coastdown in preparation for the Unit One maintenance/refueling outage.

The unit was removed from service June 22,

1992, followed by the reactor coolant system being cooled down to Mode 5 for the unit maintenance/refueling outage.

The unit ended the reporting period in Mode 5.

There were no challenges to the pressurizer safety valves or power operated relief valves.

Gross electrical generation for the month of June was 523730 MWH.

DETAILS 6-6-92 1610 6-22-92 0130 0443 Notification to NRC to report exceeding residual chlorine limit to the Circulation Water System.

Commenced unit shutdown from 47%

RTP for maintenance/refueling outage.

Tripped the Turbine-Generator.

The reactor is in Mode 2.

0458 Source Range High Flux Reactor Trip.

The RCS is in Mode 3.

0723 2214 6-25-92 1710 Notification to NRC to report the failure of both Source Range Channels causing a reactor trip.

The RCS is in Mode 4.

The RCS is in Mode 5.
