Cook Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2
Docket Nos. 50-315; 50-316 Licenses Ho. DPR-58; No.
DPR-74 As a result of the inspection conducted on September 10-14, October 5 and November 6, 1990, and in accordance with the "General Statement of Policy, and Procedure for HRC Enforcement Actions,"
10 CFR Part 2, Appendix C (1990)
(Enforcement Policy), the following violation was identified:

Cook Fire Protection equality Assurance
- Program, requires that personnel selected for auditing assignments have no direct responsibilities in the areas being audited.
Contrary to the above, a Nuclear Safety'nd Design Review Committee (NSDRC)
Audit Report (No.
154 dated January 25, 1989) showed that one licensee staff member selected for the triennial auditing team had direct responsibilities in the fire protection and safe shutdown capability assessment areas audited.
I'his is considered a Severity Level IV Violation (Supplement I).
The inspection showed that actions had been taken to resolve the identified violation and to prevent recurrence.
Consequently, no reply to this violation is required and we have no further questions regarding this matter.
