EXAHINATION REPORT During the week of January 29, 1990, the NRC administered examinations to employees of your organization who had applied for licenses to operate your D.C.
Cook Nuclear Power Plant.
At the conclusion of the examination, the examination questions and preliminary findings were discussed with those members of your staff identified in the enclosed report.
One Senior Reactor Operator (Upgrade) candidate failed the examination, in part due to weakness at the Reactor Operator level during the simulator portion of the examinations.
In a telephone conversation with Hr. M. Nichols on February 12, 1990, Hr. Nichols has agreed to remove this individual from licensed duties pending remedial training and successful re-examination at the Reactor Operator level by the D. C.
Cook Training Department.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this letter and the enclosures will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
