Dear Mr. Keppler:
This is to confirm our verbal report to NRC Region III Inspector, Wi E.
- Swanson, at 0930 hours0.0108 days <br />0.258 hours <br />0.00154 weeks <br />3.53865e-4 months <br /> on December 15, 1980.
At that time we reported that during a tour being performed by a plant Auxiliary Equipment Opera-tor, it was discovered that two spray header isolation valves (CTS-124E and CTS-128E),
located in the Unit 2 East Containment Heat Exchanger Room, were sealed and locked closed.
This condition was immediately reported to the Shift Operating Engineer who determined that the as found condition was incorrect.
Instructions were given to immediately reopen the valves and relock and reseal them in the correct position.
A written followup report will be submitted by December 26,
- 1980, as required by Technical Specification Section 6.9.1.8.
